Kershaw and Pavlovich also optimize social networking on the Wish.co.uk site to increase website traffic and sales. For instance, the site includes a number of testimonials from satisfied customers, including star ratings. The site also lists the number of “likes” it has received on Facebook and allows customers to post directly on the site through their Facebook accounts.

Emphasis on Customer Service

Customer service is an essential element of theWish.co.uk  formula. PayPal is an accepted form of payment, along with SagePay to handle credit card payments. Wish.co.uk offers free delivery with same-day dispatch for orders placed before 3 p.m. on Monday through Friday. Overnight delivery is available for a very reasonable $11 USD (7 British Pounds Sterling).

Wish.co.uk also aimed to set itself apart by offering a no-hassle exchange policy, with transactions possible right on the website. Customer service is available through live chat or by telephone during business hours. Email is always available, offering response times within 24 hours of inquiry.

Kershaw and Pavlovich invested a lot of effort into the front-end, customer service aspect of their website, contracting with Desk.com, a social help desk for small businesses. As a result, the site easily handles more than 140,000 hits per day and is scalable with projected demand for zombie invasions and disaster-themed offerings.

Today the duo’s experiential ecommerce business continues to thrive selling experience days. Kershaw and Pavlovich have sold over 1 million dollars in experience days on behalf of other retailers, and recently launched their own brand on July 1, 2012.
