At 19 years old, Jeet Banerjee has accumulated more titles than most — entrepreneur, student, technology expert, and author who has a passion for solving problems.

At the age of 17, Jeet formed JB Media Force, a web design company that boasted a staff of 10 designers and developers to cater to his growing client base. A year and a half later, Jeet would go on to sell his startup and focus on solving a common and familiar problem for high school students like himself — how to prep and get into college.

For most high school students preparing to graduate is a tremendous stress factor — alongside finding a college that makes students and their parents happy, according to Jeet. In an effort to demistify the high school to college transition, Jeet and co-founder Supan Shah developed StatFuse, an educational web application geared towards high school students.

Capitalizing on the “boom time” of online education startups, both founders aim to solve real world challenges for their peers.

“In recent years, venture capitalists have poured millions into education-technology start-ups, trying to cash in on a market they see as ripe for a digital makeover. And lately, those wagers have been getting bigger.”

Both young entrepreneurs aim to make their mark in this tech-infused college revolution.
