Austin may get all the startup attention in Texas, but Houston’s startup scene boasts a rapidly growing community of entrepreneurs ready to put their city on the startup map.

A number of venture capital firms, angels investors and incubators have become part of the Houston community to help develop the ecosystem and foster new business growth. With resources including The Houston Technology Center, Caroline Collective and a host of growing industries including Nanotechnology, Life Sciences, Social Web and more – we expect an influx of Houston-based emerging leaders.

Here are ten founders that are contributing to the thriving Houston startup scene — entrepreneurs that you should definitely watch.
