Tracky is a social collaboration platform that bridges the gap between your personal and professional circles.

Founders: Jennifer Gosse, David Gosse

Company: Tracky

Location: Las Vegas, NV

1. We came up with the concept of Tracky:

A couple years ago my company was developing custom search technology for clients throughout the U.S. and Canada. We were working with diverse client teams on various phases of development, integration and marketing. There was a lot of data, documents and project plans exchanged. Managing all of those connections and data was getting extremely complicated.

We tested multiple project management platforms, but nothing really worked to bring everyone together … executives, managers, programmers, vendors, consultants and sales people. No matter what we tried, people resorted back to email.

Yet, other trends (social media adoption, etc.) were at work and were transforming the way we communicate. Thus the lines between “work and “personal” life are blurring. Increasingly, people are sharing life events alongside company updates, thereby humanizing the function of marketing and brand building. These observations, alongside the increasing use of smartphones, brought about the concept of a social-media-like “single platform” to manage our work, personal and social lives.

With these trends and our company experience in mind, our lead rock star developer vowed that he could create something much more intuitive – and fun. And he did. The first prototype took project management outside the corporate “box” functionally and visually. Additionally, the user interface was readily adopted by our team, clients and advisors, spanning in age from early 20′s to late 70′s. That was a definite “aha” moment for us.

Social collaboration is a major shift in how we will work in the years to come. After all, when you’re connected with other like-minded people and you’re working on something meaningful, what was “work” becomes “fun!”

2. Ambition:

To facilitate more meaningful connections between people via productive collaboration. Truly, I love helping people!
