For all doting Mac lovers I must admit, Apple has that something – it’s got that … Je ne sais quoi. Take for example, the Genius Bar, a mystical place where every Apple customer can receive free tech support forever—completely unheard of in the tech industry; an industry known for lackluster customer service.

This is just one example of a simple yet effective way that one company has raised the business bar – otherwise known as a better way to do business. Every industry is capable of executing on this simple yet effective business strategy. More importantly, entrepreneurs and small business owners can cash-in big on all things genius. It is our belief at YFS Magazine that every young, fabulous & self-employed entrepreneur is capable of Genius. Don’t believe me? Think again.

Entrepreneurial Genius

Genius is something or someone embodying exceptional intellectual ability, creativity, or originality, typically to a degree that is associated with the achievement of unprecedented insight. Similarly, entrepreneurship is fueled by knowledge acquisition, purposeful execution of information, creativity and originality. That is why we are introducing Genius. Our goal is to share some of the stories, companies and ideas that will spark some of the genius that is undoubtedly inside of you.

Henry Ford, a dreamer, envisioned a world with horseless carriages. Onlookers suspected he wasn’t firing on all cylinders and rather insane. Imagine if his genius was never fully recognized – better yet, imagine if your genius is never birthed.

Genius covers the ideation stage of entrepreneurship; the very conception and birth of new business. By definition, genius is something or someone embodying exceptional intellectual ability, creativity, or originality, typically to a degree that is associated with the achievement of unprecedented insight. Ultimately, genius is dedicated to inspiration, motivation and activation.

Interestingly enough, genius is very attainable. Geniuses are known to have crystal clear visions of given situations, where interpretation is unnecessary, and they build or act on the basis of those facts, usually with tremendous energy. The struggle for many entrepreneurs is the build and act part. So our goal is to give you a little nudge, push or simply propel you into motion. The driving force behind Genius is vision – and everything that follows is within reach.

The first step to entrepreneurial genius is as simple as doing something  considered unconventional in your industry. Think of the most far-fetched ideas and how they can improve the way you do business and interact with your customers. The wheels are spinning – so now is a good time to perfect your ideas and mind map your dreams to reality. The power of simplicity and getting back to the basics can help you raise your business bar.
